Moderator visits the Philippines! (6/6/2001)
"On
Sunday, June 3rd, the Moderator General travelled with the Adorers of the
Precious Blood (ASCs) to the city of San Pablo where they celebrated the
Final Profession of the first Philippine ASC Sister, Sr. Corazón Estrellado.
In the photograph she is in the center of the picture, next to the Provincial
from Bari (Italy), Sr. Angela di Spirito, along with the newly named
Provincial of Bari, Sr. Lucia, junior Sisters and aspirants.

and Fr. Barry Fischer were honored to have the
opportunity to greet the Cardinal of Manila, His Emminence Jaime Sin, in his
private residence on Monday, June 4th. They are seen together in the
Cardinal's study.
Moderator's Update: (30/05/2001)
The Moderator General, Fr. Barry Fischer, will be in the Philippines from May 30th-June 15th, where he will preach a retreat to the Adorers of the Blood of Christ.

To the Indian Delegation for the priestly ordination of Joseph Rosario Gnanadickam, C.PP.S. to take place in Gingee, India on June 4th. D. Giovanni Francilia, Provincial of the Italian Province, will be on hand to join in the celebrations. Ad moltos annos, Fr. Joseph Rosario!
Celebrating with Our Oldest Member
Did you know that our oldest C.PP.S. member worldwide, is Fr. Angelo Totaro of the Italian Province? Fr. Angelo will celebrate his 98th birthday on June 24th and his 75th ordination to the priesthood on July 12th! He is still actively engaged in ministry at our Sanctuary in Rimini, Italy. Polish Vicariate (28/04/2001)
In the recent Assembly of the Polish Vicariate (April 21-22) a new Leadership Team was elected for two years. The results of the elections are as follows:

Fr. Winfried Wermter, founder and former Vicariate Director, was elected the Vicariate Delegate to the General Assembly to be held in Rome in September of this year.
Fr. Patryk Rafal Malecki is presently in Brasile immersed in an inculturation course in preparation for his ministry in the Brazilian Vicariate.
Congratulations also go to our recently ordained priests, Fr. Marcin Rogala and Andrezej Symanski and to our four new Deacons, Daniel Rafal Mokwa, Dawid Adam Wróblewski, Michal Józef Przybysz, and Franciszek Piotr Grzywa.

Teutonic Province (28/04/2001)
The members of the Teutonic Province gathered in Kufstein, Austria for their annual Province Day on April 24-25. The first day was dedicated to an historic meeting with the Adorers of the Blood of Christ (ASC) from the Schaan Province. The ASC and CPPS shared fraternity and explored possible ways of furthering collaboration between the two groups.
On the second day the Missionaries met to discuss the post-visitation letter of the Moderator General. They also elected as their Delegate to the upcoming General Assembly, Fr. Andreas Hasenburger.
Croatian Delegation (28/04/2001)
The Polish Vicariate has decided to take over responsability
for the CPPS house in Zagreb. Therefore the Croatian Delegation will no longer
be directly under the Teutonic Province but will be a residence of the Polish
Vicariate and staffed by members of the Vicariate. Fr. Willi Klein, founder
of the Delegation, will be returning to take up a position in the Teutonic Province.
Kansas City Province (28/04/2001)
During the Provincial Assembly held this past week the members of the Kansas City Province elected their two Delegates to the upcoming General Assembly. The Delegates are: Fr. James Urbanic and Fr. Timothy Coday.
We Pray for our Recently Deceased Confreres (28/04/2001)
Brother Robert Buhrman, of the Cincinnati Province, who was called to his new life in Christ on April 11, 2001 at the age of 80 years.
Father Rocco Cosentino, of the Cincinnati Province, who died on April 25, 2001, at the age of 73 years.
We are grateful to them for sharing their lives and gifts with us and for their many years of selfless service to the Church.
