 We started quite fast: after the Eucharist and breakfast we were able to discuss before lunch the first 4 topics of our 21-points Agenda! First we prepared a schedule of the meeting and made some plans for the days. Then we started to share our activities during last 3 months: e.g. we heared about Francesco's visits to Mexico and to the Assembly of the Iberian Province in December. We also addressed the question of publishing CPPS Normative Texts (the Constitution was recently approved by the Holy See). We also discussed other practical matters about everyday life of the General House. We continued the meeting in the afternoon.  Zaczęliśmy dość szybko: po Eucharystii i śniadaniu udało nam się przedyskutować przed obiadem pierwsze 4 punkty naszej 21-punktowej agendy! Najpierw przygotowaliśmy program spotkania i zrobiliśmy inne plany na te dni. Następnie zaczęliśmy dzielić się tym, co robiliśmy podczas minionych 3 miesięcy: usłyszeliśmy m. in. o wizytach Franciszka w Meksyku oraz na Zebraniu Prowincji Iberyjskiej w grudniu. Poruszyliśmy także sprawę publikacji Norm Prawnych CPPS (Konstytucja została ostatnio zatwierdzona przez Stolicę Apostolską). Przedyskutowaliśmy również inne sprawy praktyczne dotyczące życia codziennego Domu Generalnego. Kontynuowaliśmy nasze spotkanie po południu.  Abbiamo iniziato in modo veloce: dopo la celebrazione eucaristica e la colazione, abbiamo trattato i primi4 argomenti su 21 dell’agenda. Anzitutto abbiamo preparato l’orario dell’incontro e pianificato i giorni seguenti. Abbiamo condiviso le informazioni su ciò che abbiamo fatto da Ottobre, abbiamo ascoltato Francesco circa la sua visita in Messico e la sua partecipazione all’Assemblea elettorale della Provincia Iberica. Abbiamo trattato la questione della pubblicazione dei Testi Normativi nella lingua originale, dopo l’approvazione delle Costituzione da parte della Santa Sede. Abbiamo anche trattato alcuni problemi della vita giornaliera della casa generalizia. L’incontro è continuato nel pomeriggio.  Empezamos muy pronto. Después de la Eucaristía y el desayuno, pudimos estudiar, antes de la comida, los 4 primeros puntos de los 21 de que consta nuestra agenda! Hicimos en primer lugar la programación de nuestro encuentro y una planificación para estos días. A continuación intercambiamos información sobre nuestras actividades en los últimos tres meses: por ejemplo, el P. Francesco nos informó sobre su visita a México y su participación en la Asamblea de la Provincia Ibérica en el mes de diciembre. También discutimos sobre la publicación de los Textos Normativos de la CPPS (las Constituciones fueron aprobadas recientemente por la Santa Sede). Tratamos también otros asuntos prácticos relativos a la labor diaria de la Curia Generalicia. Por la tarde continuamos la reunión. |

In the morning, as usual there was Eucharist at 7 am, morning prayers and breakfast. At 9 am we started our session. This time we worked really quickly! Today we focused especially on animation task of each councilor. Lucas started and gave us a great report on what he has already done and what he is going to do for the animation in formation. Then Felix shared with us a broad perspective of the animation in JPIC (Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation). There was a long discussion on both topics until lunch. We also continued our discussion on finding a General Secretary, while being grateful for the way that Fr. Felix is fulfilling this role presently. In the afternoon Grzegorz explained his vision of lay associates animation and future work to be done in this topic. After the discussion we could take some rest, pray vespers and eat supper, prepared by S. Monica. It was a hard day, not only because of the long discussions, but because of the rainy weather and low pressure, as well... So, we are looking forward for tomorrow! :-) Rano, jak zwykle, o 7:00 była Eucharystia, potem jutrznia i śniadanie. O 9:00 zaczęliśmy sesję przedpołudniową. Tym razem pracujemy naprawdę szybko! Dzisiaj skupiliśmy się zwłaszcza na posłudze animacji każdego z radnych. Rozpoczął Lucas, dając nam piękną relację z tego, co dotąd zrobił i co jeszcze zamierza zrobić dla animacji w dziedzinie formacji. Następnie Felix pokazał nam szeroką perspektywę animacji w zakresie tematów JPIC (Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation - Sprawiedliwości, Pokoju i Integralności Stworzenia). Po obu wystąpieniach miała miejsce długa dyskusja. Kontynuowaliśmy także rozmowę na temat mianowania Sekretarza Generalnego, jednocześnie będąc wdzięczni Ks. Feliksowi za sposób w jaki pełni obecnie tą rolę. Po południu Grzegorz przedstawił swoją wizję animacji świeckich stowarzyszonych oraz przyszłą pracę w tym zakresie. Po dyskusji mogliśmy trochę odpocząć, pomodlić się nieszporami i zjeść kolację, przygotowaną przez S. Monikę. To był ciężki dzień, nie tylko ze względu na długie dyskusje, ale także z powodu deszczowej pogody i niskiego ciśnienia... Czekamy więc z nadzieją na dzień jutrzejszy! :-) Nella mattinata, celebrazione eucaristica come al solito alle 7 e poi lodi e colazione. Abbiamo poi lavorato focalizzando sull’animazione di cui è responsabile ogni consigliere. Ha iniziato Lucas, responsabile dell’animazione sulla formazione, che ci ha dato un lunga relazione su ci che è già stato fatto su questo tema e su ciò che egli intende fare. Felix poi ha condiviso con noi la sua idea circa l’animazione sul tema della Giustizia, Pace e Intengrità del Creato (JPIC). A ognuno dei temi è seguita una lunga discussione. Abbiamo anzitutto parlato su come continuare a cercare il Segretario Generale, nonostante siamo pià che contenti di come Felix sta portando avanti al momento questo incarico. Nel pomeriggio Grzegorz ha elaborato come intende realizzare la sua animazione sugli associate laici e il lavoro futuro che intende fare. Abbiamo terminato la giornata con la preghiera del vespri e una buona cena preparata da suor Monika. E’ stato un giorno lungo e faticoso, non solo a cause di tante discussioni impegnative, ma anche del tempo nuvoloso e piovoso con una pressione molto bassa. Vediamo come sarà domani… :-) Por la mañana, como de costumbre, celebramos la Eucaristía a las siete, rezamos las oraciones de la mañana, desayunamos y a las 9 iniciamos los trabajos. Avanzamos mucho en esta sesión! Dedicamos nuestro trabajo especialmente a la tarea de animación de los consejeros. Empezó el P. Lucas y nos presentó un estupendo informe sobre lo que ha hecho y lo que piensa hacer en lo referente a la animación de la formación. Luego el P. Félix nos informó sobre una amplia perspectiva en el campo de la JPIC (Justicia y Paz e Integridad de la Creación). Hubo a continuación una larga discusión sobre esos dos temas hasta la hora de la comida. También continuamos la discusión sobre cómo encontrar una persona para Secretario General, a la vez que mostramos nuestro agradecimiento al P. Félix por la forma en que está actualmente desempeñando esta función. Por la tarde el P. Grzegorz expuso su visión sobre la animación de los laicos asociados y el trabajo que en el futuro deberá realizarse en este campo. Después de la reunión descansamos un poco para a continuación rezar las vísperas y degustar la cena que nos preparó sor Mónica. Fue un día pesado, no sólo por las largas discusiones, sino también por el tiempo lluvioso y la baja presión atmosférica... Así pues, esperamos a mañana con ilusión ! :-) |

In the morning Bill had his time as the Treasurer General. He presented the 2007 financial report of the General Curia and explained the way we can prepare 2008 budget and suggestions to keep and use money we have. In the afternoon we discussed ways of financing the General Curia; this is a continuation of the concerns raised in the Meeting of the Major Superiors in 2007. Then Bill presented briefly his vision of the animation in creating the vision. This is a response to the desire of the General Assembly that the General Council faciliate within the Congregation a common theology and spirituality of mission. Then we spoke about our webpage and its possible development. After a coffee break we discussed a topic of the International Spiritual Center in Salzburg. Przed południem Bill miał swoje "pięć minut" jako Ekonom Generalny. Przedstawił raport finansowy Kurii Generalnej za rok 2007 i wyjaśnił sposób w jaki przygotujemy budżet na rok 2008 oraz propozycje zabezpieczenia i używania pieniędzy, będących w posiadaniu Kurii. Po południu rozmawialiśmy o sposobach finansowania Kurii Generalnej; jest to kontynuacja uwag ze spotkania wyższych przełożonych w 2007 r. Następnie Bill przedstawił krótko swoją wizję animacji w dziedzinie budowania wizji poszczególnych jednostek Zgromadzenia. Jest to odpowiedź na życzenie Zebrania Generalnego, aby Rada Generalna moderowała w Zgromadzeniu proces tworzenia wspólnej teologii i duchowości misji. Potem rozmawialiśmy o naszej stronie internetowej i możliwościach jej rozwoju. Po przerwie "na kawkę" dyskusja dotyczyła tematu naszego Międzynarodowego Centrum Duchowości w Salzburgu. Nella

Nel pomeriggio abbiamo parlato su come finanziare la Curia Generalizia, secondo le indicazioni suggerite dai superiori maggiori nell’incontro avuto in Brasile nel 2007. Bill ha anche presentato su come intende realizzare il suo campo di animazione nella Curia Generalizia su come creare una visione. Questo come risposta al desiderio dell’Assemblea Generale, che ha richiesto al Consiglio Generale di facilitare nella Congregazione una teologia e spiritualità comune della missione. Dopo un break meritato abbiamo iniziato a parlare del centro Internazionale di Spiritualità a Salisburgo. Por la mañana fue el turno de Bill como Tesorero General. Presentó el informe financiero de 2007 de la Curia General, explicó cómo confeccionar el presupuesto para el 2008 e hizo sugerencias sobre cómo gestionar el dinero disponible. Por la tarde tratamos sobre la financiación de la Curia General; es la continuación de las inquietudes que surgieron en la Reunión de los Superiores Mayores en el 2007. A continuación Bill presentó brevemente su enfoque de la animación para enfocarla acertadamente. Es una respuesta al deseo de la Asamblea General de que el Consejo General difunda una teología y espiritualidad de la misión comunes en la Congregación. Today was a free day! Everyone needed time to rest after 3 days of hard work. Grzegorz had to go abroad, so below you can find some photos of the country he visited today... ;-) And for lunch came someone well known for all of us... Look on photos! Tomorrow is a next day of work. Dzisiaj był dzień wolny! Każdy z nas potrzebował odpoczynku po trzech dniach ciężkiej pracy. Grzegorz musiał wyjechać za granicę, więc poniżej znajdziecie kilka zdjęć kraju, który dzisiaj odwiedził... ;-) A na obiad zjawił się ktoś dobrze znany nam wszystkim... Spójrzcie na zdjęcia! Jutro kolejny dzień pracy. Hoy hemos tenido el día libre! Todos necesitábamos un descanso después de 3 días de intenso trabajo. Grzegorz tuvo que salir al extranjero. Today we enjoyed the presence of Barry in our Meeting. After a free day we started in the morning with a discussion about the International Spirituality Center in Salzburg. But during the talk we touched much broader spectrum of themes, e.g. tasks of the Center, collaboration with regional spirituality centers (decision of the 2004 General Assembly), budget, etc. In the afternoon we set an official name of the Center: International Center of Precious Blood Spirituality. We decided to be present at the opening celebration of the Center in July, so we would like to organize the next meeting of the Council in Salzburg. Then we discussed the 2008 budget for the General Curia. Dzisiaj cieszyliśmy się obecnością Barry'ego na naszym spotkaniu. Po dniu wolnym zaczęliśmy przed południem dyskusję o Międzynarodowym Centrum Duchowości w Salzburgu. Ale podczas rozmowy dotknęliśmy o wiele szerszego spektrum tematów, np. zadań Centrum, współpracy z regionalnymi centrami duchowości (decyzja Zebrania Generalnego z roku 2004), budżet, itp. Po południu ustaliliśmy oficjalną nazwę Centrum (w jęz. angielskim): International Center of Precious Blood Spirituality (Międzynarodowe Centrum Duchowości Krwi Chrystusa). Zdecydowaliśmy, że będziemy obecni na uroczystości otwarcia Centrum w lipcu, więc następne spotkanie Rady chcielibyśmy zorganizować w Salzburgu. Następnie zajęliśmy się budżetem Kurii Generalnej na rok 2008. Oggi è stato con P. Barry Fischer. La discussione nella mattina ha toccata il tema del centro Internazionale di Spiritualità del Preziosissimo Sangue a Salisburgo, Austria. Il discorso ha toccato diversi temi, quali i compiti del Centro, la collaborazione con i centri regionali di Spiritualità, secondo la decisione dell’assemblea generale del 2004, e così via. La discussione è continuata nel pomeriggio. Abbiamo tra l’altro scelto il nome ufficiale del centro: Centro Internazionale di Spiritualità del Preziosissimo Sangue (International Center of Precious Blood Spirituality) e abbiamo deciso di aprirlo ufficialmente il 1 Luglio 2008. Il Consiglio Generale sarà presente nel suo completo e farà Consiglio Generale dieci giorni prima dell’apertura a Salisburgo. La riunione del giorno è terminata con l’approvazione del budget della Curia Generalizia per il 2008. Hoy tuvimos la alegría de tener en nuestra reunión a Barry. Después del día libre, reanudamos el trabajo por la mañana y hablamos sobre el Centro Internacional de Espiritualidad de Salzburgo. En la reunión tocamos otros temas, como las funciones del Centro, la colaboración con los centros regionales de espiritualidad (decisión de la Asamblea General del 2004), presupuesto, etc. Por la tarde dedidimos la denominación oficial del Centro: Centro Internacional de Espiritualidad de la Preciosa Sangre (International Center of Precious Blood Spirituality). Acordamos estar presentes en la celebración inaugural del Centro en julio; por tanto deseamos organizar la próxima reunión del Consejo en Salzburgo. A continuación estudiamos el presupuesto de la Curia General para 2008. |

There was only a session in the morning to start a weekend after the lunch. Together with Barry we spoke about the October 2008 issue of the "The Cup of The New Covenant" and about possible themes for future issues. Before lunch we managed to set the calendar of important events and our journeys as the General Council in 2008; also holidays for the resident members of the General House were set. Dzisiaj odbyła się tylko sesja przedpołudniowa, aby po obiedzie zacząć weekend. Razem z Barrym rozmawialiśmy o numerze "Kielicha Nowego Przymierza" na październik 2008 i ewentualnych tematach następnych numerów. Przed obiadem udało nam się jeszcze ustalić kalendarz ważnych wydarzeń i naszych wyjazdów jako Rady Generalnej w 2008 r.; zostały także ustalone wakacje dla członków Rady rezydujących w Rzymie. Abbiamo tenuto solo la sessione mattutina. Abbiamo discusso, presente P. Barry Fischer, sul tema della rivista della Curia Generalizia, Il Calice della Nuova Alleanza, per il mese di Ottobre 2008 e dei possibili temi futuri. Abbiamo anche stabilito il calendario di eventi importanti per l’anno 2008, dei nostri viaggi come membri del Consiglio Generale e anche del tempo delle vacanze che ogni Consigliere residente deve prendersi. Solamente tuvimos sesión de trabajo por la mañana y empezamos el fin de semana después de la comida. Con la presencia de Barry hablamos sobre el tema de “El Cáliz de la Nueva Alianza” en octubre del 2008 y sobre posibles temas para otras ediciones. En esta sesión de la mañana pudimos fijar un calendario para el 2008 de acontecimientos importantes y de nuestros desplazamientos como Consejo General. También se decidieron las vacaciones para los miembros residentes de la Casa General. |

We spent 2 hours discussing the best way of editing and printing the April 2008 issue of "The Cup of The New Covenant". In our review of the Minutes of the Saturday session we noticed a small matter. According to our Normative Texts we should use a proper name of the Meeting of Major Superiors (instead of: Major Superiors Meeting) and consequently, in the future we will also use the proper abbreviation, which is MMS (instead of: MSM). In the afternoon we began the discussion of the schedule for the Meeting of the Major Superiors in India in November. Spędziliśmy 2 godziny dyskutując najlepszy sposób edycji i druku numeru "Kielicha Nowego Przymierza" z kwietnia 2008. Podczas zatwierdzenia sobotniego protokołu zauważylismy pewien drobiazg. Zgodnie z Normami Prawnymi powinniśmy używać właściwej nazwy Spotkania Wyższych Przełożonych (w jęz. ang. Meeting of Major Superiors zamiast Major Superiors Meeting) i konsekwentnie w przyszłości powinniśmy używać właściwego skrótu, tzn. MMS (zamiast MSM). Po południu zaczęliśmy dyskusję o programie Spotkania Wyższych Przełożonych w Indiach w listopadzie br. Abbiamo parlato del prossimo numero di Aprile de IL CALICE DELLA NUOVA ALLEANZA. Abbiamo usato il poemeriggio per inizare a preparare la riunione dei Superiori Maggiori con la Curia Generalizia in India nel prossimo Novembre 2008. Dedicamos un par de horas a hablar sobre la edición e impresión del número de abril del 2008 de “El Cáliz de la Nueva Alianza”. En la revisión de la minuta de la sesión del sábado detectamos un pequeño fallo. Según nuestros Textos Normativos debemos denominar Reunión de los Superiores Mayores a estas reuniones – ‘Meeting of Major Superiors’ - en lugar de ‘Major Superiors Meeting’; por tanto, en adelante utilizaremos la abreviatura correspondiente, MMS, en lugar de MSM. Por la tarde empezamos a estudiar la agenda de la Reunión de los Superiores Mayores en India en Noviembre. |

There were still some smaller topics we wanted to discuss this morning: a fencing on one side of the property of the General House; vision of the webpage and its development as a tool of communication; and we returned to the planning and schedule of the MMS in November. After lunch we were free. In the evening there was a nice meeting with our neighbours - MSF General Council to get know each other and to continue a good relationship in the house. Do południa mieliśmy wciąż kilka mniejszych tematów, które chcieliśmy przedyskutować: ogrodzenie Domu Generalnego od wschodniej strony, wizja naszej strony internetowej i jej rozwój jako narzędzia komunikacji, by w końcu wrócić do planowania tematów i programu MMS w listopadzie. Po obiedzie mieliśmy czas wolny. Wieczorem mieliśmy miłe spotkanie z naszymi sąsiadami - Radą Generalną MSF, aby się nawzajem poznać i kontynuować dobre relacje w domu. Nella mattinata abbiamo parlato di questioni più secondary, quali la recinzione della parte sud del giardino, una nuova impostazione della pagina web. Siamo poi tornati a parlare del prossimo incontro di Novembre dei superiori maggiori (MMS). Tempo libero nel pomeriggio. Nella serata ci siamo incontrati in fraterna amicizia con la Curia Generalizia dei nostri, Missionari della sacra Famiglia, per continuare la buona relazione esistente. Anche loro hanno una nuova Curia Generalizia, appena eletta. Había algunos temas menores que queríamos tratar esta mañana: el vallado de uno de los laterales de la propiedad de la Casa General; enfoque de la página web y su desarrollo como un instrumento de comunicación. Después retomamos la planificación y agenda de las MMS en noviembre. Tuvimos la tarde libre. Hacia el atardecer tuvimos una interesante reunión con nuestros vecinos - el Consejo General de los MSF para conocernos mejor y continuar la buena relación en la casa. |

The morning was free, so we began our session after lunch. We spent a lot of time discussing the way to fulfill the decision of the General Assemblies in 2004 and 2007 about developing a common vision of a theology and spirituality of mission. We specifically addressed the question of sponsoring a workshop on mission in 2009. Przedpołudnie było wolne, więc zaczęliśmy naszą sesję po obiedzie. Spędziliśmy dużo czasu na dyskusji o sposobie zrealizowania decyzji Zebrań Generalnych z 2004 i 2007 r. o rozwoju wspólnej wizji teologii i duchowości misji. Podjęliśmy szczególnie kwestię workshop'u na temat misji w 2009 r. Mattinata libera. Ci siamo incontrati nel pomeriggio e discusso sul modo come attuare la decisione delle Assemblee Generali del 2004 e del 2007 su come realizzare una visione comune di una teologia e spiritualità della missione. Abbiamo preso la decisione di convocare un workshop sulla missione nel 2009. Tuvimos la mañana libre, por tanto empezamos la reunión por la tarde. Discutimos largamente sobre la forma de llevar a cabo la decisión de las Asambleas Generales de 2004 y 2007 referente al desarrollo de una visión común de la teología y la espiritualidad de la misión. Tomamos la decisión de organizar un taller sobre la misión en 2009. |

We continued the preparation of the workshop on mission in 2009. We had a very interesting discussion and we managed to set some most important decisions about themes, place, date and schedule. We prepared the Agenda for our meeting in June and discussed further development of our website. Our meeting ended at 5:45 pm. We will meet again "virtually" (using Skype program) on Mar 5th to discuss important points about preparation of the workshop on mission. Next meeting of the Council will be in Salzburg, Austria in June 15-30. And in the evening we had a great pleasure to host the General Council of the Adorers of the Blood of Christ. There were present: S. Bernarda (Superior General), S. Therese, S. Ivana, S. Sonia, S. MaryKutty and S. Susan. Enjoy some photos of our joyful meeting! Kontynuowaliśmy dziś przygotowania workshop'u na temat misji w 2009 r. Mieliśmy bardzo ciekawą dyskusję i udało nam się dokonać kilku ważnych decyzji co do tematów, miejsca, daty oraz programu. Przygotowaliśmy agendę na nasze spotkanie w czerwcu i rozmawialiśmy o przyszłym rozwoju naszej strony internetowej. Spotkanie zakończyło się o 17:45. Następnym razem spotkamy się "wirtualnie" (za pomocą programu Skype) 5 marca, aby przedyskutować ważne sprawy dotyczące przygotowań do workshopu na temat misji. Następne spotkanie Rady odbędzie się w Salzburgu, w Austrii w dniach 15-30 czerwca. A wieczorem mieliśmy wielką przyjemność gościć Radę Generalną Sióstr Adoratorek Krwi Chrystusa. Obecne były: S. Bernarda (Przełożona Generalna), S. Therese, S. Ivana, S. Sonia, S. MaryKutty i S. Susan. Zapraszamy do oglądnięcia kilku zdjęć z naszego radosnego spotkania! Abbiamo continuato nella preparazione del workshop sulla missione nel 2009. Abbiamo potuto fare delle decisioni importanti circa i temi, il luogo e il programma. Abbiamo inoltre preparato l’afgenda per l’incontro di Consiglio di Giugno e discusso dello sviluppo futuro del sito web. L’incontro è terminato alle 17,45. Ci riuniremo nuovamente “virtualmente” attraverso Skype il prossimo 5 Marzo per finalizzare ancorta dei punti circa il workshop sulla missione. Il prossimo incontro di Consiglio Generale si terrà a Salzburg, Austria, dal prossimo 15 - 30 Giugno. Per la cena abbiamo avuto il piacere di avere con noi La Curia Generalizia delle Suore Adoratrici del sangue di Cristo.
